Heath Walters, CPA, CTC
With over a decade of strategic tax planning for HNW families, Heath is a leading authority on growing wealth management practices through tax mitigation.
When he’s not busy helping his clients double and even triple their revenues, you’ll find him fishing, grilling, and tackling home renovation projects.
Jake Meier, CPA
A veteran of corporate and personal tax compliance, Jake works with wealthy clients of financial advisors to apply advanced tax strategies to their portfolios.
Despite his busy schedule, he’s an avid golfer and concert-goer and loves spending time with his wife, Sara, and their furry kids, Maggie and Nora.
Guy Woodliff, MSA CPA Exam Candidate
Edgar Guy Woodliff completed undergraduate studies at Guilford University, majoring in Accounting and Business. After graduation, he went on to The University of North Carolina at Charlotte to obtain his Master’s in Accounting.
Guy, as he prefers to be called, started his career as a tax preparer at Wheeler & Associates, before moving on to strategic tax planning at The Walters Way. Guy lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife Mary and his daughter Margaret. In his spare time, Guy loves to fish, golf, and spend time with his family.
Matt Leonard CPA, CTC
Matt Leonard is a CPA, CTC, and brings over 10 years of experience in strategic tax planning and accounting to his clients. Matt started his career at Grant Thornton and then moved on to private accounting at King's Greenhouses Inc.
He received specialized training in taxation as a CTC and used those skills to save clients thousands through targeted, proactive tax planning. He left to start his own firm in 2013. He lives in Concord with his two children and his wife. In his spare time he enjoys going to the lake and spending time with his family.
Daren Bitter MPS
Director of Client Experiences
Daren earned his finance degree from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business and has extensive experience in banking and consumer products. Before joining TWI, he spent 25 years founding and managing talent acquisition firms specializing in finance and tech.
He also holds a Masters in Ministry from Loyola-New Orleans and serves as a Permanent Deacon in Charlotte. A Global Fellow with Catholic Relief Services, Daren focuses on charity work and mission trips to Haiti. He and his wife have two children and reside in Charlotte.

With over 25 years of administrative experience in healthcare, governmental, and non-profit organizations, Liz is a highly skilled project and office manager.
When she’s not keeping order at TWI HQ, she’s tackling home projects, shopping for great deals, and making memories with friends and family.
Meagan McDonald
Developer
With over 4 years of customer service experience Meagan is passionate about web development and expanding her technical skills. She is currently pursuing her Bachelors degree in Information Science Web Development as well as taking a Web Development Bootcamp on top of her degree.
When she’s not working she loves exploring the outdoors, making handmade gemstone jewelry for her small business and spending time with her family.
